Science instruction will consist of four major units of study:
- Weather - Students will learn the basic physics of how weather patterns are created and travel across an area of Earth's surface. They will also develop an understanding of how geographic features affect weather.
- Weathering and Erosion/Glaciers - Students will learn how the surface of the earth is constantly changing and the factors that influence weathering and erosion. Students will also be introduced to how glaciers form and their role in creating and changing the landscape.
- Plant Growth - Students will learn the main structures and functions of plants. They will also learn how plants have adapted to survive in various different climates across the planet.
- Ecosystems/Wetlands - Students will gain an understanding of the interaction of living things in a wetland environment.
